Spin Lounge was opened in September 2008 in Uptown Whitter originally as a DJ-centric bar that consisted of nightly DJ's, drinks, artwork and aesthetics influenced by the DJ culture. In August of 2021, owners Jesse and Rick Gonzales were offered the opportunity to film a restaurant show starring Restaurant Impossible's Chef Robert Irvine and Bar Rescue's Jon Taffer. On March 3rd, 2022 the streaming app Discovery+ launched its newest show, Restaurant Rivals: Irvine vs. Taffer. In episode 2, Spin Lounge along with Robert Irvine competed against across the street rival Sage with Jon Taffer at the helm.
